Delbert. has been my friend for 30+ years, we work together on the drill rigs for Northern Virginia drilling. When they first put me on the drill rig with Delbert. people were telling me that I wasn’t gonna like it because he was demanding and a perfectionist when it came to his job and he would let you know if he didn’t like you lol. So when I first went out on the drill, rig taught me a little bit. Told me what to do told me what he needed and sure. I was a little nervous. But once we started working together, we became like brothers our friendship expanded away from the job site. We began hunting together and just spend a lot of time together whether it was on the drill rig or on the job out of town for weeks at a time. Delbert. was tough but he also was a very genuine good person.. There came a time when his family member fell on hard times and needed a vehicle. So I had a pick up truck I had sitting around that wasn’t half bad shape. So one day I just called him up out of the blue and asked him if he wanted the truck and he said how much I said I’ll trade you that truck for a rifle ha ha ha ha. He just fell silent but I knew the transportation for his family member what is the number one priority so we did it. Would I do that for anybody else.? No I wouldn’t do it just for anybody, but it didn’t take much for me to convince myself that Delbert. was a friend who would appreciate that and he did. I loved Delbert. I loved what he Represented. Sweet dreams my friend until again we slaughter deer in heaven. Love you Kent.
