Deborah (Debbie) Jean Baker, 67, of Winchester, Virginia passed away peacefully, February 6, 2024, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
Debbie was born on January 20, 1957, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Donald and Aline Funkhouser. She was a graduate of James Wood High School. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but most importantly her grandson, Ethan. She enjoyed shopping and a good margarita on the rocks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, April Denise Funkhouser and her brother Donnie Funkhouser. Debbie is survived by her daughter, Rhonda DeHaven and her husband William, grandson Ethan, the light of her life and grand dog Tucker; stepson, Paul Baker and wife Lori; special daughter in law, Alecia Keeler, grandchildren, Chelsie Beatty, Jordian and Zach Baker; sisters Pam Corbin and husband Art and Darlene Townsend; 4 Great Grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her daughter of the heart Kim Ayer and her husband Jeff and daughter Ashley, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Debbie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 9 from 6 to 8pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A memorial service in celebration of Debbie will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 10am at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating. A reception will follow at Valley Bible Church in Stephens City, Virginia.
