Deborah Ann Gaumer

Deborah Ann “Debbie” Kendall Gaumer, age 56, of Winchester, VA, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Gaumer was born in 1956 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of Shirley Ann Slonaker Nicholson and the late Beverly Calvin Kerns. Debbie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was known for her dedication to her family working many years as a homemaker. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, by all who knew her.

She married James Aaron Gaumer on November 3, 1971. Mr. Gaumer passed away September 24, 2003.

Surviving with her mother is her finance; Charles Weller; three daughters, Robin Slonaker of Richmond, VA, Shawn Gaumer of Leesburg, VA, and Shanda Gaumer of Stephens City, Va, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four sisters, Sharon J. Whittington of Clearbrook, VA, Linda V. Wolford and husband, Ralph, of White Post, VA, Michelle Mason and husband, Glenn, of Winchester, VA, and Dottie Nicholson and husband, James, of Front Royal, VA, and a brother, Jack Odell Kendall of Richmond, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to James E. Nicholson, P.O. Box 1039, Front Royal, VA 22630.
