Deborah “Debbi” Ann Seaver Dorman, 63, of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 3, 2023. Debbi was born on July 30, 1959 to William J. Seaver and Joan “Pat” Seaver in New London, CT as the oldest of 8 siblings. Debbi spent her childhood as a Navy brat in Connecticut, Japan, Hawaii, Illinois, and Maryland. Debbi graduated from NorthEast High School in NorthEast, Maryland.
Debbi welcomed her first son, Joshua W. Routson from a previous marriage in 1979. In 1987 she married the love of her life, Karl “Jimmy” Dorman. They went on to have two children together, Daniel J. Dorman and John M. Dorman in 1987 and 1988.
After years of working as an office manager in various fields, Debbi retired to spend more time with her friends and family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Debbi was outgoing, warm and loving, and always put others before herself. She enjoyed hobbies like gardening, crafting, knitting, crocheting, canning, cuddling with her cat Sully and loved the beach. She made epic sangria and loved nothing more than spending time outside in the spring, summer and fall.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Joan “Pat” Seaver, brother Patrick Seaver, husband Karl “Jimmy” Dorman and son Joshua W. Routson. She is survived by her father, William J. Seaver, sons Daniel J. Dorman and John M. Dorman, and siblings Theresa M Arches., John E. Seaver, Elizabeth L. Barrow, Christopher A. Seaver, Mark S. Seaver, and Angelina M. Lynch. Debbi leaves behind three adoring grandchildren, Irene A. Lawless, Connor J. Dorman, and Phoebe I. Lawless, and countless friends.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held with family and friends at Winchester Ciderworks located at 2504 N Frederick Pike, Winchester VA, at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 11, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Winchester Area SPCA, as Debbi always loved her fur babies.
