Carolyn and George Glaize left a message on January 5, 2010:
Dearest Friends: So great a loss of such a wonderful man. We are happy we knew him and know all of you. The Moulden-Godlove neighbors go back to 1957 at least, so it is a long friendship. Charlotte and I were in the second grade at Stonewall School, so we have an even longer friendship. I am so happy these relationships survive to this day. We have shared our stories and memories already. It was a good thing your family did to let Dave know how much we loved him while he was still with us. We deeply regret not being here when He passed away or being present to support you, but we were thinking of you and praying for you from the boat. I know God hears prayers out there on the ocean, after all, it a straight shot. We'll be seeing you. With love Carolyn and George Glaize January 5, 2010

Dear Moulden Family, I am a voice from your past. I was so sorry to hear about David. As a little girl, I remember how good David always made me feel, even when he picked on me. I have fond memories of the feed mill and the Clearbrook store lunch counter. One of my fondest memories is when it would snow and David would drive us all back in the field on the hay wagon, build a fire and we would have the best time sledding! He was one of the kindest men I have ever known. Karen Cannon (previously Saville, daughter of Don and Ruth Saville)

Dave was such a great supporter of youth. Growing up, I can remember Dave sharing his time with us when I showed cattle. And in recent years, he was always there to support the Ham Bacon and Egg sale and the Berkeley County Youth Fair. He was a great man in all the kids eyes. We are truly blessed to have known him.
