David Lee Moulden
David Lee Moulden, 66, of Clearbrook, Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009, at Winchester Medical Center, after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer.
Mr. Moulden was born in 1943, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Elethia Moulden and the late Howard K. Moulden. David owned and operated Clearbrook Feed and Supply from 1981 to 2003. He also owned and operated French’s Mill in Augusta, West Virginia, from 1984 to present. David was a member of Clearbrook Volunteer Fire Department having served as Fire Chief, Treasurer and on the board of directors. David was active with the Frederick County Fair Association, having served as President and board member.
David was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1961. He was a member of Galilee Christian Church in Clearbrook, Virginia.
He married Charlotte Leight on August 25, 1963 in Clearbrook, Virginia.
Surviving with his mother and wife are his daughter, Dianna “Dee” Moulden of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Jeff Moulden and his wife, Becky, of Clearbrook, Virginia, Scott Moulden and his wife, Tina, of Winchester, Virginia; five grandchildren, Kaiti Whitacre and her husband, Tim, Matt Moulden, Emma Moulden, Cameron Moulden and Kelsey Moulden. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Palmer and her husband, Staymon, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia; brothers, Donald Moulden and wife, Sherella, of Winchester, Virginia, Robert Moulden and wife, Denise, of Plymouth, North Carolina, and Kenneth Moulden and wife, Connie, of Berryville, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Donald Moulden and Reverend Robert Moulden officiating. Interment will be in Galilee Christian Church Cemetery, Clearbrook, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Price, Buddy Robinson, Will Weber, Lloyd Winters, Tim Price and Bryan Adams
Honorary pallbearers will be past and present members of the Clearbrook Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
