David Francis Ross, 87 of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Dave was born in 1936 in Staten Island, NY, the son of the late David F. Ross, Sr. and Florence (Finn) Ross. He attended New Dorp High School in Staten Island. Dave went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force as Airman First Class (A1C) during the Korean War as a Crypto Operator, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He worked as a telex operator for RCA, General Electric and Daiwa and retired from the US Parks Police under the Department of Interior Defense. Dave was a diehard New York Yankees and Giants fan. He rarely missed a Wagner College football game.

He married Anna “Ann” Rodriguez in Staten Island, and she preceded him in death in 2012.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Patricia “Pat” Leslie and Jennifer “Jenn” Schneider (Paul); grandchildren, Emily, Julia and William Schneider and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Dave is preceded in death by his sister, Maureen Ross and his brother, Thomas Ross.

Services for Dave will be private.
