Danny Ray Crocker, 69, of White Post, Virginia, passed away on June 9, 2026.
Danny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. He shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Malinda Crocker.
He is survived by his wife, Malinda Crocker; his two children, Tina Crocker and Daniel Crocker (Kimberly Crocker); and his cherished grandchildren, Tayah Hunter (Charles), Tayler Dennis (Skylar), Tamryn Dennis (Jake), Makenna Crocker, Keaton Crocker, and Kileigh Crocker. Danny was also blessed with his great-grandchildren, Bentley, Gracelyn, Hadley, Kolton, and Jackson, who brought him immense joy and an empty candy dish.
Danny is also survived by his brothers, William Crocker III, Gary Crocker, and Larry Crocker. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Daryl Crocker and David Crocker, and his sister, Marilyn Heaser.
For 30 years, Danny faithfully served Fairfax County through his dedicated work and commitment. Outside of his career, he found happiness in the simple things he loved most—fishing, horseshoes, hunting, working with his hands, and fixing just about anything that needed attention most likely with duct tape. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and making memories with those he loved. He also valued the lifelong friendship he shared with his best friend, Dwayne Young.
Those who knew Danny will forever remember hearing one of his favorite sayings: “Chicken ain’t nothing but a fat bird.” It was one of many expressions that reflected his humor and personality and will continue to bring smiles to the faces of those who loved him.
Though he is no longer with us, Danny’s legacy of love, strength, laughter, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Visitation will be held for Danny on Wednesday, June 17, 2026at 11am with a service to be conducted at 11:30am at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
