I only just met Danny in 2021 as I am new to the area. He was driving by my house one day, he saw me working out in the yard, he backed his pickup truck right up into my driveway to introduce himself and welcome me to the neighborhood. We talked about hiking and fishing and he gave me tips on the local people, places and things to do. It was nice to have a guide with a wealth of knowledge of Star Tannery. I'm sorry to hear of Danny's passing, I was looking forward to having a new friend. My condolences to his family. - Troy Meenahan
Holding all the Pitcock family in love and light.
I never met Danny but knew of Danny from Katy. Back to the days of the bus drive falling for that "some thing else" high school boy. My daughter, Hannah, went to a hog butchering and moonshine party at the Pitcocks. From everything I ever heard, Danny was quite the hoot!
So sorry for your loss and everybody that knew him. He left us way too early and will be truly missed. Sending thoughts and prayers your way. What a wonderful reunion in heaven. Open arms for another angel. RIP.

Since the first time I was at the cabin with David and the 3rd Annual SKPP, David's family and friends became mine. And Danny and his family were one of my favorites. My dad "Dick" so loved hanging out by the pig roaster with Danny and even helping out if he could, even if it required a taste testing and a little sipping the good stuff too. Danny was a good man and a great Dad, and obviously a great granddad and a fine Husband. He will be missed so dearly. Katie, you and your family are forever in my heart and prayers. Suzie
My Mom, Phyllis also sends her condolences.

So sad about Danny passing. I only gotten started to know the man. Had great pleasure in working along side Danny at different housing projects. He was a good kindhearted person always when I was around him. Always giving me the weather report for Alaska. Always enjoy the salmon fish stories he told as well as the salmon he share. Deepest condolences for the family. A good person gone way to soon.

Having just lost my ex-husband to a long and painful disease, I share the deep sense of loss I imagine you are feeling right now. I hope happy memories will eventually offset your grief.
My deepest sympathy to the family.
My most sincere condolences to Danny’s family. He will undoubtedly be severely missed.
He was a great guy and always had a smile & funny story to share.
Danny always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile and hug for me. He teased and joked, and was full of what we Southerners call“devilment”! I loved him for being so himself. He was always helpful, and loved his family SO much, especially his liberal, liberated ”woman”, Katy. ?.
May our Creator, Source of all things, all forests, trees, rivers full of fish, stars, lakes, oceans, deer, laughing children, and devoted families enfold Danny into the sea of light, and draw him toward the loving, living, Heart of the Universe.
With Love, Sallie
Dennis adds: I had such a great time on pig slaughter day with Danny and the clan, and I LOVED him for being the only one to wear jeans to my wedding! I knew he was a brother to me that day. -Dennis

Fished with Dan for several years in Alaska. He will be missed. He would always put smiles on everyone faces when he walked down to the river with his humor.
I'm sorry to hear about Danny, i send my condolence to the family. I'm going to miss my fishing buddy from Virginia, he brought a new meaning to fishing, having fun! I'm glad I got to meet the sons that he brought up to fish. ( they are real good fishermen) I glad I got to meet his wife Katy the year she came up. Danny loved to fish here in Alaska for many years. You will be so remembered here at swiftwaters on the Kenai river. Always in my heart and so many memories of you here fishing and the great stories of you on you farm. always Dorothy ( Dot)
