Daniel P. Yaggi

Daniel “Danny” Patrick Yaggi, 45, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Yaggi was born in 1966, in Stamford, Connecticut, the son of Jane Barbara Stokes and the late Matthew Andre Yaggi. He was employed by Virginia Department of Transportation. Danny was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan. He was well known for his passion about Mother Nature and trees. He had the unique ability to determine the tress differences and similarities and trim them in a proper manner. He was a loving a devoted husband, father and soon to be grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.

He married Suzanne Marie Fasoli on June 6, 1987, in Stamford, Connecticut.

Surviving with his mother and step-father of Bluffton, South Carolina and his wife, are three daughters, Shannon Marie Yaggi of Winchester, Virginia, April Marie Yaggi and Katie Marie Yaggi both of Stephens City, Virginia; his son, Daniel Joseph Yaggi of Stephens City, Virginia; one grandson on the way in a couple of weeks; three sisters, Lisa Yaggi Petrossi of Berlin, Connecticut, Catherine Yaggi Saldana of Norwalk, Connecticut, Maureen Yaggi Humphrey of Stamford, Connecticut; two brothers, Thomas Yaggi of Greenwich, Connecticut, Michael Yaggi of Stamford, Connecticut and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial donation may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

My favorite memorie of Danny was when his daughter Shannon was a flower girl in my wedding and she was so scared, after she walked down the isle she rain to her daddy for safety, he swup her up and reasured her. Then he danced with her as the wedding party joined in. He was a great guy, and I know he will be missed every moment of every day by his family and friends. Fly home Danny, Fly home.
