I first met HOOPES when we worked together at the Wise Ole Owl Sporting Goods Store. It was a hoot. When I was in Vietnam and came in from the field for a stand down who was there but Danny.. I didn't even know he was in Nam. He had found out where I was, caught a hop and came to my base camp at Cu Chi. He spent the night and we had a few adult beverages and talked about Winchester. After I retired and moved back to Winchester. We served together on the JAA board. He was always pleasant to be with. A good sense of humor. He enjoyed life. A loyal friend. Super times at our Wed. coffee and trivia gatherings. Be seeing you.
