Cynthia E. Worley
Cynthia Ellen Worley, 68, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died Monday, December 5, 2011, in Florida.
Ms. Worley was born in 1942, in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Andrew P. Worley, of Bedford, Virginia and Iva Darlene Jennings of Wardensville, West Virginia. She was a world traveler but always considered herself a girl from Wardensville, West Virginia. Ms. Worley graduated with honors from George Washington High School in Alexandria, Virginia and from Strayer University in Washington, D.C. She attended Montgomery College while working at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She became a Flight Attendant with Pan Am World Airways, where she was a member of their World Wing International, serving for 28 years. Then she graduated with honors from Florida International University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ms. Worley then worked at North Ridge Medical Center as a Head Nurse.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Thomas and Virginia Jennings.
Friends may call prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Don Stotler officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
