Colleen E. Carter
Colleen Estell Trenary Carter, age 81, of Clear Brook, Virginia, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Envoy Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Carter was born in 1929, in Bunker Hill, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Elder and Thelma S. Trenary. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of Brucetown United Methodist Church and former member of Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Her husband, William Adam Carter, whom she married on May 21, 1947, preceded her in death on February 21, 1978.
Surviving are her daughter, Glenda C. Bowman and husband, Brent, of Winchester; Virginia; her sons, Gary W. Carter and partner, Lyn Dee Venham of Brucetown, Virginia and Gregory A. Carter and wife, Melinda of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Chad Matthew Carter and partner, Michelle Frazier, Jennifer L. Carter, and Adam Lee Venham-Carter; a sister, Helen Higgs of Baltimore, Maryland; and a brother, Kenneth R. Trenary of Martinsburg, West Virginia. A sister, Ruth Dunham and two brothers, Donald and Richard L. Trenary preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, at 11:00 AM, at Brucetown United Methodist Church with the Reverend Robert Schoeman officiating. Interment will be in Paynes Chapel Cemetery, Ridgeway, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, VA.
