Cole Lee Hockman, 18, of Winchester, Virginia died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home.
Cole was born in 1998 in Winchester, the son of Sharon (Largent) Sterner and Terry Hockman. Cole was a 2016 graduate of Handley High School and was employed with JP Exhaust as a Cleaning Technician. He was also a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Toms Brook, Virginia. Cole was a one of kind individual who can be remembered for his passion and love of the great outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and anything mechanical whenever he could. He was a kind and gentle person who was known for always caring and providing for others when in need. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents he is also survived by future stepmother Resa Miller of Maurertown, Virginia and a very close family friend Bertrand Hubbard of Boyce, Virgina; his sister Cassie Hockman; his girlfriend; Raechel Lindamood as well as his first unborn child; maternal grandparents, Oliver and Sylvia Largent of Bloomery, West Virginia; paternal grandmother, Delene Hockman of Maurertown, Virginia and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather David Michael Sterner and grandfather, Richard Hockman.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 am until his Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Deanna Boynton officiating. Following the services family and friends are encouraged to join the family at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Toms Brook, Virginia for a continued time of food and fellowship. Interment will be private.
