Lot of memories of my Uncle Clyde - riding in his pickup with Kirk to go to the County Fair & getting ice cream, his infectious laugh & easy smile, going to the Baptist Church in Winchester with his family, the way his sister, my Mom (the eldest sibling) would sigh and say "Oh, Clyde". I remember his hijinks with the cousins eating watermelons & spitting seeds, & how he could make a rock whistle with his fingers, taking us to swim in Cedar Creek & the rope swings. Lots of good memories from a great Uncle from a great family. God bless you.
Dallas Stallings left a message on February 1, 2021:
Donna and I were saddened to hear of Clyde's death. We remember fondly our times spent at the farm with them and how caring he was for the outdoors, nature, and all wildlife. His love of his family was always evident. Our son trip liked to go out to the farm to cut a Christmas tree with Clyde and Clay. It was a big event at Christmastide. We remember Clyde's friendship and the warmth of the entire family. We give thanks for the wonderful life that he lived and the family who shared it with him. Donna and Dallas Stallings

Thinking of the Brumbacks brings back so many good memories--the accordion, piano in the basement, basketball in the barn, ice staking on the pond, dirt bike riding, church services and a few chores. Here's to a good, hard-working man with a wonderful family.

Saddened to learn of Clyde's death. The obit is one of the most beautiful and beautifully written I have ever read. Two thoughts of Clyde raced through my mind when I heard this news. Clyde was the talented pitcher on the First Baptist Church slow pitch softball team. It was a very good team and a finalist for the Church League Championship. I always wondered how a farmer could finish his work and make it to the game on time. My second memory of Clyde in the E.T. Clark S.S. Class was his predictable attendance, usually sat next to his friend Ed Barnette and yes offered his opinions freely on both the Old and New Testaments! I relocated nearly 40 years ago but have often thought of the Brumback Family, one of the finest!

I love remembering riding in the back of Clyde's truck to the fairgrounds, the time he took us swimming in Cedar Creek, how he knew that I needed to feel like Virginia was a part of me, and that I was half Brumback. He was my favorite uncle, and was very special to Roger and me.

Goodbye, Uncle Clyde.. You took this "Northerner" into your Family and made me feel so comfortable with you on the Farm. I will never forget our Florida adventure where yo climbed the orange trees like a monkey to get your niece Julie some fresh fruit. May you still jump flat footed into the back of your truck up there in Heaven, and keep a place next in the deer stand open for me up there. I will miss our conversations greatly... Rest in Peace, my dear Friend...
