I had the pleasure of having worked with Chief Brown in Middletown, having left Frederick County Sheriff's Dept to do so. He was a wonderful gentleman, firm, but courteous in his dealing with the public. A great administrator, who always cared about those under his office. He will be sorely missed. May you rest in eternal peace with our heavenly Father.

Dear Carloyn & Family - I am very sorry for your loss. Although I have not seen your family for many years, I will always remember what a gentle giant Cliff was. As a little girl growning up in Middletown, I always looked up (literally and figuratively) at Cliff Brown. He was a lovely and caring man with much honor and integrity. Sympathy to all, Ava Edmonson Hoover

Carol & Family, It is with a heavy heart that I write this note. Cliff & you all were like family to me. I am so very sorry that such a wonderful spirit has left this earth. He always kept me on my toes with that charm & wit that he had. I have so many memories of him, he always made me smile. He was like a father figure to me, always letting me know what was right or wrong & I always made sure he knew that I appreciated everything he told me. I pray God comforts you all in this difficult time. I am so saddened by his passing, he will be missed but I can assure you, never forgotten. I am unable to attend the services as the flu is spreading through our family like a wildfire and would hate to infect anyone. Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. With much love, Tonya Mauck Ebert "Toni"

I met Cliff through my job at Wells Fargo and he definitely left a footstep in my life forever. Everytime he came in he always had a smile and a hug waiting for me. We were fellow redskins fans and even when he wasnt feeling well he still managed to make me laugh. You will be deeply missed. Rest in peace. -Sara Carter
