Cletis Elwood Miller
Cletis Elwood Miller, 91, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Miller was born in 1919, in Capon Bridge, West Virginia, the son of the late Carson L. and Mary Virginia Miller. He was a retired foreman with Virginia Department of Transportation in Frederick County, Virginia, serving for 36 years. He was a member of Winchester Grace Brethren Church. Mr. Miller was a Veteran having served in the United States Army in the European Theatre.
He married Ethel Virginia Heishman, on February 6, 1960, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Shirley Bayliss of Bumpass, Virginia; two grandsons sons, David Bayliss and wife, Brenda of Montrose, Colorado; John Bayliss and his wife Chris, of Aylett, Virginia; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Violet Marie Ferrell and her husband, Fulton of Gerrardstown, West Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
One grandson, Steven Bayliss, one sister, Donnilee Jenkins and three brothers, Olan Miller, William Miller and Willis Miller preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Matt Lohr officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-5:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
