Clary Vance Orndoff

Clary Vance Orndoff, 79, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, March 21, 2011, in his home.

Mr. Orndoff was born in 1931, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late Russell and Ina Orndoff. He was a retired furniture mover with Thomas Clark and a member of the VFW Post #2123. Mr. Orndoff was a Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was an avid bowler and fisherman.

He married Ruth Chapman on July 3, 1964, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Surviving with his wife is his step – daughter, Doris Alexander of Crimora, Virginia; step – son, Robert Lofton of Cross Junction, Virginia; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Orndoff of Talbot, Tennessee. One step-daughter, Joyce Lynn, preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday at Shenandoah Memorial Park, with Reverend Carolyn B. Martin officiating. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Post #2123.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
