Clarence Edward Duvall, Jr., 71 of Cross Junction, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Clarence was born in 1952 in West Virginia, the son of the late Clarence Edward Duvall, Sr., and Bessie (Unger) Cotta. Clarence was raised by his mom and dad, Joseph, and Phyllis Swack of Stephens City, VA. He was a graduate of Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw, WV. Clarence retired as owner/operator of Duvall Pest and Termite Service. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching the Redskins.

He married Patricia Ann Combs on December 31, 1972, in Stephens City, VA. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2020.

Clarence is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Pritt (Dwayne); son, Jason Todd Duvall (Crystal); grandchildren, Kyle, Keenan and Kayla Pritt and Jacob, Austin and Emmah Duvall; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Sofia and one on the way; sisters, Jean Winfield (Joe), Margaret Mason (Patrick), Staci Koenig (Scott), Traci Swack, Latesha Scott (Joey) and Amy Maidment (Nich); brothers, Michael Cotta (Tina), Richard Cotta (Connie) and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Clarence is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Murphy.

A visitation will be held for Clarence on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm with a service the following day, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11am, all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Jason Wilbourne.

I met Clarence, while doing pest control, we stopped and talked anywhere we seen each other, we helped each other out at anytime we could... We became good friends through the years, We enjoyed many laughs together.... We took our state recertification class each year at same time, a several day class so we tried to keep each other awake during the class and we went to dinner every evening after the class, always have a laugh and a good time...
