Aunt Clara and Uncle Ken lived in this really beautiful wooden house. Wooden floors, neat living room with a great fireplace. You always had to duck your head going up and down from the second floor. They lived in Mt. Pleasant in the country and always had wonderful picnics that her sister and husband, Myra & Clarence Swope always took me and my mother to. My mother was always close to her cousin, Ron. I have movies of Aunt Clara & Uncle Ken, along with cousin Ron at my grandparents house in Turtle Creek. Aunt Clara was always the most petite of her sisters. She will be missed and will continue to stay alive in my heart and memory.

Mrs Kerns was my Mom's neighbor and we always visited whenever we were in from NM. One of my goals was to find a way to keep her feet warm. She was so independent and such an avid reader. My family will miss her......Linda Eckman Staley and family

Thank you for sharing your memories of Aunt Clara! I remember when Aunt Clara and Uncle Ken would visit us. I had Barbie dolls....and I always used to think that Aunt Clara was like Barbie....thus, Barbie and Ken would visit.
