Charlotte A. Parrill

Charlotte Ann Lichliter Parrill, 63, of Clear Brook, Virginia, died Friday, December 23, 2011, in her home.

Mrs. Parrill was born in 1948, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Lichliter and Garnett McCarty. She was a Team Leader with the Environmental Services at Winchester Medical Center, serving for the past 11 years. Mrs. Parrill was a member of Woodbine Assembly of God in Clear Brook as well as a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

She married James D. “Dutch” Parrill on August 28, 1964, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Kimberly D. Parrill and son, James “Jimmy” Parrill, all of Clear Brook, one grandson, Craig James Parrill and her brother, Charles “Bucky” McCarty, Jr., of Winchester, Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Louis Whitford officiating. Entombment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, Virginia, 22601.

My husband and I saw Charlotte this summer. We were neighbors many years ago. She was very thin and we didin't recognize her. She shared that she was fighting cancer, and talked about it with a smile on her face. We were very impressed by the strength and determination that she showed. We gave her a hug and told her it was nice to see her after so many years. It was sad to hear of her passing, and our prayers for Dutch, Kim, and Jimmy are full of sympathy and comfort.
