Charles William Umbenour, 73, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Umbenour was born in 1937, in Berkeley County, West Virginia, the son of the late William Umbenour and Leona Umbenour Nichols. He was a Well Driller and pump installer with Payne Well Drilling in Winchester retiring in February 2008.
Surviving is his sister, Leona “Susie” Newlin and her husband, James; three brothers, Douglas Umbenour and wife, Dollie, of Winchester, Virginia, Max Umbenour and wife, Margaret, of Stephenson, Virginia, Willard “Willie” Umbenour and wife, Joyce, of Clear Brook, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Mr. David A. Owings officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
