Carl was a wonderful person and a dedicated volunteer who generously gave his time to help others in our community. His kindness, compassion, and willingness to serve made a lasting impact on so many people. It was a privilege to work alongside him, and he will be remembered not only for his contributions but also for the warmth and friendship he shared with everyone he met. He will be missed, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Kevin Buter left a message on May 29, 2026:
I met Carl when we were Juniors in high school at OHHS. We met when singing in the choir at St. Columba Church in Oxon Hill. That relationship has lasted a lifetime. While we weren’t always able to meet in person, we kept in touch regularly. Our birthdays are two days apart, so we always talked then. In our younger days we kept out of trouble for the most part. If we didn’t, it was “Good” trouble. I learned how to drive a stick shift in his parent’s VW bug. Many trips in the car were spent singing Three Dog Night and Chicago to the top of our lungs. And yes, there were harmonies. I will miss his Christmas cards with the letter about family activities/updates. I will miss him period. He was and is one of my best friends ever! And as we always greeted each other, he will remain my brother from another mother. I will miss you my friend! Be at peace and know I love you! Kevin
