Bob Eriksen left a message on November 19, 2014:
I worked with Chuck off and on through my aviation career. It is not often that you meet another brother in Christ who is willing to both share and discuss his faith with a colleague - much less supplier. Chuck encouraged me when my wife (now deceased) had a serious illness and I needed someone to talk to. I will always remember that about Chuck and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. B. Chuckie and I grew up together as kids, Ruthie (his mother) and my parents were very close friends. We went through a lot back then...when Jimmy died of cancer as a child himself, death of 2 of our childhood friends. We were always there when things got rough. Throughout the years and marriages/children we lost touch with each other but often thought of the fun times we had in Stephens City. It saddens me to see in the Star that you passed away. You always told me that one day you and Jimmy would be together again and oh my it must have been a wonderful reunion. Rest in peace old friend I will cherish childhood memories

We grew up together in Stephens City. My parents and your mother Ruthie were very close friends. We went through some hard times for a child when Jimmy died at such a young age, I lost a brother and everything seemed so unbearable. We confided in each other and consoled each other. We grew up and got married, had children and lost contact with each other but I would think of you from time to time when I was in Stephens City for business. You always told me that one day you and Jimmy would be together again...oh my what a wonderful reunion that must have been Chuckie!! Rest in peace my friend, soar with the eagles.
