Charles Nelson “Chuck” Siegfried, Sr., age 74, formerly of Easton, PA passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 in Winchester, VA.
Charles was born March 11, 1949 in Phillipsburg, NJ, son of the late Rosie and Carl Siegfried. He graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1967, and earned a Bachelors degree from University of Maryland. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served for 21 years. Following Boot Camp Charles was stationed in The Republic of Vietnam, Pleiku, assigned to the 20th Engineer Battalion. For his patriotic service Charles was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He retired as the Pacific Region Commander in Hawaii for the Nuclear Power production unit. After retiring from the Army Charles and his wife, Kathy, moved to Sterling, VA. There he was Vice-President for Parsons Brinkerhoff Company, retiring in 2010. Upon retiring they moved to Winchester to live with their daughter and son-in-law, Christa and Gil Cummings.
He married Kathleen “Kathy” Aroon Kessler on April 20, 1968 in Nazareth, PA.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy; son-in-law, Gil Curameng; grandson, Carl Curameng and granddaughter, Gabrielle Curameng both of Winchester; sister, Nancy Kelley of Stockertown, PA; brothers, Jeffrey Siegfried of Easton, PA and Robert Grogg of Phillipsburg, VA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents Charles is preceded in death by a daughter, Christa Curameng and a son, Charles Nelson “Chucky” Siegfried, Jr.; two sisters and three brothers.
