Charles M. Leight, Sr.
Charles Manuel Leight, Sr., 80, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, in Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mr. Leight was born in 1933, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Horace O. and Mary F. Leight, Sr. He was a veteran having served in the National Guard and Air Force. Mr. Leight was a Tree Farm Manager with Walnut Ridge Farm in Whitehall, Virginia. He was a member of Galilee Christian Church in Clear Brook, Virginia.
Surviving are three daughters, Connie Mullins of Winchester, Debbie Huling of Anchorage, Alaska, Terry Whitlock of Winchester; son, Charles Leight, Jr., of Anchorage, Alaska; 6 grandchildren;7 great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Louise Robinson and brother, Donald Leight, both of Gainesboro, Virginia.
Three brothers, Horace Leight, Jr., Edward Louis Leight and James Leight, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends
prior to the service on Monday, 4:30-5:00 PM at Galilee Christian Church.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 PM on Monday at Galilee Christian Church with Pastor Donnie Moulden officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Charles may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, Virginia, 22601.
