Charles Lloyd Heflin, lovingly known as “Pops”, 87, of Frederick County, VA, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at his home.
Mr. Heflin was born in 1938 in Clarke County, VA, son of the late Charles and Dorothy Heflin. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and attended Winchester Church of God. Mr. Heflin was a truck driver, having driven for Time DC and Crown Cork and Seal before retiring. His greatest past-time was playing golf and he enjoyed billiards. Pops loved playing softball in his younger years and always enjoyed a good meal. He thoroughly loved being around his family, especially at holidays, cookouts, and reunions.
He married Connie Pearson on December 29, 1972.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Robyn Pickett (Charles) of Clarke County, VA; sons, Chuck Lloyd (Penny) of Winchester, VA, Mike Lloyd (Tonya) of Cross Junction, VA, and Todd Lloyd (Jackie) of Pinehurst, NC; grandchildren, Andrea, Joshua (Kaylan), and Colby Lloyd and Dusty Pickett; and 4 great grandchildren; and his faithful canine companion, Jack.
A visitation will be from 12 pm to 1 pm on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 pm with Pastor Kent Woodward officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum. A reception will follow at Winchester Church of God, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, VA.
