Charles H. Thompson
Charles Henry Thompson, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Mr. Thompson was born in 1932 in New Vernon, NJ, the son of the late Ernest H. and Helen C. Thompson. He retired from Green Chemical Company after 32 years of service. He and his wife operated Nancy’s Cakes since 1985. He was an avid farmer and orchardist. Mr. Thompson was a member of Round Hill United Methodist church.
He married Nancy Boyles Wilson on August 16, 1975, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving along with his wife are his sister Dolly Baker, his daughters Deborah Greathouse, Donna Thompson, and Katie Rinker of Winchester, VA, Dale Izer of Mont Alto, PA, and Dian Clippinger of Artemas, PA; sons Tommy Gray and James Wilson, Jr. of Winchester, VA, and their families; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister Doris, brothers Alonzo, Hosea, and James, and grandson Christopher C. Greathouse.
All services with Omps Funeral Home will be private.
