Gary was a part of my childhood in Stephens City. We attended the same church and the same schools. I was a friend of his sister, Karen, and his mother, Charlotte, was my Sunday School teacher. I reconnected with Gary after he 'came home' after retirement and spoke with him often when we both attended Shenandoah University sporting events. Rest In Peace, Gary! You will be missed!
