Charles Eugene Cooper, 78, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Virginia Hospital Center.

Mr. Cooper was born in 1932, in Clarke County, VA, the son of the late Clarke and Lena Cooper. He had worked for Federal-Mogul in the Quality Assurance department, having retired in 1996. He attended Burnt Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Cooper married Betty Teets on September 17, 1955 in Kernstown, VA.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Steven Cooper, and his wife, Anne Marie, of Stephens City, VA, Gary Cooper, and his wife, Annette, of Strasburg, VA; five grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Ann Rice, and her husband, Don, of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.

A memorial service was conducted on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Burnt Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
