Charles E. “Charlie” Morris
Charles Ernest “Charlie” Morris, 73, of Lake Frederick, Virginia died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Morris was born in 1939 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of the late Ernest and Helen Morris. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He was employed at AT&T for 30 years, and Cox Communications for 15 years until his retirement. He attended Centreville United Methodist Church, was a member of the Winchester Amateur Radio Club, and a member of the Lake Frederick Community Emergency Response Team. He was also a volunteer at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia.
Mr. Morris married his wife Charlotte on November 30, 1963, in Arlington, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife is a son, Brian Morris of Falls Church, Virginia, and a sister, Linda McDaniel of Georgia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 6 to 8:00 PM, at the Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
