Charles Edwin Culler, Jr., passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born on January 30, 1933, in North Canton, Ohio, Charles lived a life marked by dedication, curiosity, and adventure. His career as a Civil Engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation and later the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers took him and his family to many places throughout the United States and abroad. Over the years, he called Massena, New York; Tacna, Arizona; Blythe, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Severna Park, Maryland; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Ocala, Florida; and most recently Winchester, Virginia, home. No matter where life took him, Charles embraced each new chapter with enthusiasm and a willingness to explore.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte Culler, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Together they enjoyed traveling extensively, discovering new places, and creating lasting memories. They also found great joy in simpler pursuits-working together in the yard, tending to their home, and spending countless hours on projects that reflected their shared appreciation for hard work and beauty.

An accomplished woodworker, Charles had a talent for building with his hands and took pride in creating pieces from basic shelving in his garage to finely crafted home furnishings. He was a man of quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and a strong work ethic, qualities that defined both his professional life and his devotion to his family.

A faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Charles lived a life guided by his faith, his commitment to serving others, and his love for those closest to him.

He is survived by his son, Gregory Culler and wife Maria; his cherished grandchildren, Annabelle Culler and Lars Culler; his great-grandchildren, Emberleigh Culler and Waylon Culler; his sister, Jane Feller; and his brother, Fred Culler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Catherine Culler; his beloved wife, Charlotte Culler; and his sister, Nancy Nuske.

Charles will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, loyal brother, accomplished engineer, and a man whose quiet kindness and steady presence enriched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable 93 years.
