Charles C. Timmons
Charles C. “Charlie” Timmons, age 73, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Timmons was born in 1937, in Arlington, Virginia, the son of the late Everett R. and Catherine R. Timmons. He was the Paint Shop Manager at Fairfax Auto Body, retiring in 2003 with 43 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Manasseh #182 AF & AM, Manassas, Virginia.
He married Jessie Timmons on June 20, 1958, in Centreville, Virginia. They just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Sharon Timmons Longmire and husband, L. Michael, who considered Charlie to be more of a father than an “in-law”, of Front Royal, Virginia, Dana Timmons Slaven and husband Jeff, of Weyers Cave, Virginia, and B. Scott Timmons of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Joshua Longmire and wife, Jacque, Megan Longmire and fiancé, Scott Laconia, Marshall Slaven, Madison Slaven, and Morgan Slaven; two great grandchildren, Noah Longmire and Spencer Scriva; a sister, and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, at 3:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Mr. David Owings officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, at the funeral home.
