Cathy Wentz Foy

.Cathy Foy

Catherine Wentz Foy, age 51, of Winchester, Virginia, died Friday, November 18, 2011, in Green Castle, Pennsylvania, as the result of an automobile accident, in her husband’s arms.

Mrs. Foy was born on November 29, 1959, the devoted daughter of the late Joseph Edwin and Katherine Aileen Wentz. She was a homemaker who was an avid gardener and loved flowers.

She married the love of her life, David Foy on July 9, 2004 in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving in addition to her husband, the apples of her eyes, are her daughter, Kristy Leckliter of Leesville, Louisiana, and her son, Raymond Leckliter, III of Winchester, Virginia. The lights of her life, of whom she was most proud, are her three grandchildren, Rusty, Kaitlyn and Noah Leckliter. Her sister Helen Sours of Winchester, Virginia who was her best friend and companion. Her sisters, Judy Riley of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Joette Wentz of Lusby, Maryland; and brother, John Wentz of Winchester, Virginia. As well as her niece, Michelle Johnson of Bowie, MD. Her sister, Sharon Savory, preceded her in death. .

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 25, 2011, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with the Reverend Mr. David Owings officiating. Inurnment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Catherine Foy Memorial Fund, c/o Omps Funeral Home, 1600 Amherst Street, Winchester, VA 22601.

I have known Cathy all her life, I grew up with the family, I was Sharon Wentz Savory's best friend since I was 4 yrs old. I have loved Cathy and been with the family through alot, not always there but our hearts have always been connected. My heart aches for all the family, the sisters , her brother, her children and grandchildren. I will miss one of the sweetest and loveliest hearts in the world, she loved everyone. I, Larry have been part of the family for 42 yrs and I got to watch Cathy married have children, we normally would be there in person, we are unable to be there in person but we are there in your hearts.
