Catherine A. Thibault

Mrs. Catherine Adele “Cathy” Thibault, age 67, of Winchester, VA, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Thibault was born in 1944 in Hampton, VA, the daughter of the late John and Adele Sturm. She was a Civil Service employee, for the National Mediation Board, Washington, DC., retiring after 38 years of service. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic church in Winchester, and was a former member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Woodbridge, where she belonged to the Legion of Mary and was a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

She married Homer Gilles Thibault on July 3, 1965 in Landover Hills, MD.

Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Kathleen M . Bochert and husband, Rick of Winchester, VA; a son, Lawrence Homer Thibault and wife, Tamara, of Ohatchee, AL; four granddaughters, Danielle and Rebecka Bochert and Sarah and Lauren Thibault; two sisters, Mary S. Moylan of Bel Air, MD and Eva A. Ward of Mechanicsville, MD; a brother, John G. Sturm of Osprey, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 3 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
