Cassandria “Cassie” Gantt, 33, of Stephens City, VA went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.

Cassie was born in 1986 in Winchester, VA, daughter of Sandra D. Willis and the late James Shackelford; stepdaughter of Larry Willis. She was a graduate of Sherando High School, Class of 2004, attended Lord Fairfax Community College, and earned her cosmetology license through the International Beauty School. Cassie loved anything “country”, especially horses and John Deere tractors. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Cassie was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church in Strasburg, VA and a former member of Fishnet Christian Center in Front Royal, VA. She cherished her church family and was a member of the church study group. Her greatest treasure was her son, Logan (she loved being a mother) and being a child of God. She enjoyed spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly.

Cassie married Stephen Michael Foster on August 11, 2018 in Stephens City, VA.

Surviving with her mother, stepfather, and husband is a son, Logan Nathaniel Gantt of Stephens City, VA; grandparents, Geraldine Stevenson and Herbert Patterson of Front Royal, VA; sisters, Angelina Hughes of Louisville, KY, Amanda Strawderman of Asheville, NC, Christina Paris (Gregory) of Rochester, WA, Nancy Sluss (Ron) of Roanoke, VA, and Sara Abood (Joseph) of Berryville, VA; brothers, Billy Hughes (Marie) of Winchester, VA and Nathan Hughes (fiancée, Roxanna) of Stephens City, VA; father of her child, Andrew Gantt; former father-in-law, Gary Gantt of Greenville, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Along with her father, Cassie was preceded in death by a grandfather, Stephen Wallace Lewis and step-grandfather, Pastor John J. Stevenson.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 pm to 5 pm on Saturday at Restoration Fellowship Church, 2128 John Marshall Highway, Strasburg, VA. A funeral service will follow the gathering at 5 pm with Pastor Scott Priest officiating. Covered dishes would be greatly appreciated for a Celebration of Life Reception immediately following the service at the church.

Interment will be at 12 pm on Monday in Panorama Memorial Gardens, 4917 Strasburg Road, Strasburg, VA, with Pastor Jay Ahlemann officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Hughes, Billy Hughes, Gregory Paris, Josh Foster, Jeff Lewis, and Jacob Paris. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Foster, Paul Ritter, Billy Hughes, and Caldin Pletschke, Josh Lewis, Brandon Lewis, and Eric Wymer.
