Carolyn Elizabeth Crawford, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her residence, residing with her caregiver, Teresa and Jeff Hill.
Mrs. Crawford was born in 1932 in Clearwater, Florida, the daughter of the late Rosa and Madison Bass, Sr. During her employment years Mrs. Crawford was a CNA and a home caregiver in Winchester, Virginia. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles, playing computer games, and telling stories of her life and family. Mrs. Crawford attended Winchester Church of God.
Her husband, Harold Crawford, whom she married on February 18, 1956 in Dunedin, Florida preceded her in death in 2018.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Zach Crawford (Lauren), Christopher Crawford (Sable), Heidi Botkin (Deryk), Kenny Peregory, Cassandra Kingsburg (Jim, Jr.) and Anthea Gavet (Milford); great-grandchildren, Henry, Raylin, Olivia, Isaiah, Josiah, Micah, HeavenLey, Hunter, Valicity, and Colten; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful caregiver, Teresa Hill.
Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Carol Peregory; sons, David Eugene Crawford and Sampson “Sam” Harold Crawford; sisters, Josephine Bass and Minnie Sassion; brother, Madison Garvin Bass, Jr.; and grandson, Robert Crawford.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
