Carolann Kirk Stinedurf, 72 of Stephens City, VA passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 peacefully at her home.

Carolann was born in 1950 in Staten Island, NY the daughter of the late William Clifford Kirk and Antoinette Lapoli Kirk. She was a graduate of Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, NY. Carolann served our country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force from November of 1969 to March of 1972 rising to the rank of Sergeant. Carolann worked at Manufacturer Hanover in New York City, Sears in Staten Island, Tad Brooks, Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Procurement Specialist, Headquarters, Fort Ritchie, MD and finished her working career as a Financial Management Specialist for the US Army Corps of Engineers in Winchester, VA. She enjoyed cake decorating and creating ceramics with her husband. Carolann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was always there for her family and friends no matter what was needed.

She married Clyde William Stinedurf on December 19, 1970 in Limestone, ME.

Carolann is survived by her husband, Clyde; daughter, Andrea Lynn Greene (Matthew) Greene of Stephens City, VA; son, Mark William Stinedurf of Maui, HI; step son, Shawn William Stinedurf (Rosita) of West Middlesex, PA; grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Greene of Stephens City, VA, Christopher and Patrick Stinedurf of Winchester, VA; step grandchildren, Dominic and Lukas Stinedurf of West Middlesex, PA; great grandchild, Ryleigh Stinedurf of Winchester, VA; sister, Mary Jane Witte (Robert) of Lancaster, PA; brother, Thomas Sax (Jackie) of Staten Island, NY and canine companion, Coco.

Carolann is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Ann Ringle.

All services for Carolann will be private. She will be laid to rest at Macedonia Church Cemetery, White Post, VA.

I am heartbroken to hear of Carol’s passing. We didn’t talk every day, but when we did we had lots to catch up on. I sought her opinion and appreciated her advice I will miss our conversations. May God be with the family.

I worked with Carolann at the Corps for many years. We both worked in the same unit in Accounting. She was a wonderful person. Always positive attitude, a great worker and a great friend. We went to our community college together for some accounting classes and we had a good time. She was such a warm and caring person and she loved her family dearly. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her family. I am sorry we lost touch over the last few years. I know she suffered with alot of pain in her legs. I hope now you are resting peaceful and content. A great person taken way too early. I will miss you dearly. Rest in peace.

Carolann was one of the most generous and loving people I’ve ever known.She loved her family with all of her heart .I was blessed to have her in my life and to consider her not just family but my friend .Carolann we hold you in our hearts until we meet you again at the gates of heaven.❤️

My memories of Carolann are precious to me. We grew up together and had remained friends for many years. Unfortunately time, family, work, and finally distance separated us but I will always hold her close in my heart. Rest in perfect peace Carolann. Carol My sister. I will always remember the times we spent on the phone talking about everything for so many hours. I will miss all the things you tried to teach me, all the memories we shared good and bad. If I could I'd wish you back here with me although I know that is a selfish thought because you suffered so much and I wouldn't want that for you again. I hope you have found the peace you so deserve finally. Your love and generosity and encouragement towards me and your talent for things you've accomplished in your life will always be with me. I love you my sister.. Things will never be the same for me without you. Rest in Peace Carol.
