Carol L. Huff

Carol Louise Roose Huff, 74, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Blue Ridge Hospice.

Mrs. Huff was born in 1936, in Hazel Park, Michigan, the daughter of Friend and Bernice Roose. She was a homemaker and mother.

Her Husband, Merlin Cecil Huff, whom she married on November 28, 1964, preceded her in death on November 6, 2010.

Surviving are her daughters, Donna Young and husband, Rod, of North Liberty, Iowa, Jan Ricketts and husband, Carlton, of Winchester, Virginia, Kim Powers and husband, Mike, of Dover, Pennsylvania, Mary Nielsen and husband, Brent, of Winchester, Virginia, Jen Scannell and husband, Dan, of Burlington, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Brian, Alicia, Scott, Marisa, Mike, Jeff, Ali, Kyle, Meredith, Chelsea, Erin, Natalie, and Sidney; four great grandchildren; and her sister, Joanne Dorey of Warren, Michigan.

One sister, Marilyn VanEck and one Brother, John Roose preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Monday prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
