Carlos “Carl” A. Bunting, Jr.

Carlos “Carl” Albert Bunting, Jr., 87, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, in Blue Ridge Hospice Care Center.

Mr. Bunting was born in 1924, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of the late Carlos A. and Alice C. Bunting. He was of the protestant faith and a member of The Chosen Few – Mid Atlantic Chapter as well as a Life Member of the Winchester American Legion. Mr. Bunting was employed at Bo’s Belly Barn form 1996-2003. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp retiring with 30 years of service, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.

He married Edna M. Reid on June 13, 1953, in Berryville, Virginia.

Surviving with his wife of 58 years are two daughters, Yvonne Oots and husband, Rob, of Madison Tennessee, Carla F. Mester and husband, Nacho, of Oceanside, California; two sons, Preston Butler and wife, Susan, of Oceanside, California, Carlos A. Bunting, III of Winchester, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; cousins, Marilyn and Rachel Pickett and families of Montgomery, Alabama.
