Carl Lee “Pap” Reedy, 88, of Edinburg, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Reedy was born in 1929 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Kathleen and Thomas Reedy, Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served during the Korean conflict. Mr. Reedy was an automobile painter at Stutzman Chevrolet and retired as an owner and trainer of race horses at Charles Town Race Track. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 948 and attended Cross Point Church of God in Kearneysville, West Virginia.
Surviving is a daughter, Carla Hamilton (fiancé, Ringo Hottle) of Edinburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Kathleen and Emily Hamilton of West Virginia, Gracie Hottle of Edinburg, Virginia, and Caitlin Hottle of Stephens City, Virginia; sister, Donna Beard (Kevin) of Frederick, Maryland; brothers, Donald (Debra) and Ronald Reedy of Frederick, Maryland; and his beloved canine, Oreo.
Mr. Reedy was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Reedy, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Harold Newsome officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.
