Carl Johnson, 40, of Henrico, Virginia, formerly of Winchester, Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at his home.
Carl was passionate about the arts including theater and jazz music.
He was born in 1977 in Augsburg, Germany, the son of Charles W. Johnson and Deborah A. Heckman; stepson of Jon Heckman. He was a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 1995, and a graduate of the University of Virginia. Carl was Director of Operations for PRIVO, an internet security company. He was artistically gifted; and enjoyed being an art dealer and appraiser in his spare time. Carl was previously an actor in New York. He loved designing jewelry, appreciated the beauty of all things. Carl owned and operated 4 Sale in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his parents and stepfather is a son, Nielson Johnson of Purcellville, Virginia; sister, Tina Marie Johnson and brother in law, Michael Ping of Front Royal, Virginia; brothers, Michael Warner Johnson of Washington, D.C. and Jon D. Heckman and brother in law, Adam Cronin of Boston, Massachusetts; and mother of his son, Dr. Jennifer Nielson of Purcellville, Virginia.
