Carl E. Shrout, Sr., 93 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Rose Hill Health & Rehab.

Carl was born in 1932 in Romney, WV the son of the late Balford and Lelia Shrout. He was self-employed for 33 years at B&C Furniture of Winchester and retired from Frederick County School Transportation Department. Carl was a life-time member of Nazarene Church. He served our country in the United States Army.

Carl married Beulah Marie Sites on June 23, 1956, and she preceded him in death on January 30, 2019.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara S. Wolford, sons. Carl “Eddie” Shrout, Jr. (Brenda), Charles “Chuck” Shrout (Vicky), William “Bill” Shrout and Michael Wayne Shrout; grandchildren, Cody Wolford (Jordan), Deryk Shrout (Hannah), Sara Ponn (Tim), William Snapp, Bradley Shrout, Heidy Rutherford, and Kirbi White; great-grandchildren, Kyler Ponn, Logan Ponn, Finn “Little Buddy” Shrout; additional great-grandchildren and sister, Mabel Clem.

In addition to his parents and wife, Carl is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be held for Carl on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 12pm to 2pm at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Alan Morrison. Interment will be private.
