Cameron Marshall McKenzie, 3, of Frederick County, VA, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Cameron was born in 2006 in Richmond, VA, the son of Dustin Marshall McKenzie and Emily Nichole Barton.

In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Pamela Barbour, and her husband Tim, of Winchester, Hugh Barton IV, and his wife, Bonnie, of Winchester; paternal grandparents, Paula McKenzie and Kevin Krippner; maternal great-grandparents, Violet and Jack Lynch of Winchester and paternal great-grandmother, Esther McKenzie of Wellersburg, PA; three aunts, Alicia Barton, Jennifer Parker and Amy Barbour; and three uncles, Ryan Barton, Chase McKenzie and Dillon Hosier.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Evangelist Charles W. Doughty officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dustin McKenzie, Josh Putman, Chase McKenzie and Stevie Jewell.

The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cameron McKenzie Memorial Fund at any Bank of Clarke County branch.

My thoughts are with you! My favorite thought of Cameron is seeing him carrying the fishing pole that was 3 times as big as he was at the family picnic in WV this year! And taking him to the park there, hearing him saying "higher higher" while pushing him on the swing! love you all! cindi
