Calvin “Sisko” L. Sisk

Calvin “Sisko” L. Sisk, 82, of White Post, VA, died Friday, March 14, 2014 in Winchester, VA.

Mr. Sisk was born in 1931, in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Charlie and Blanche Sisk.  He was a construction worker most of his life.

He married Maxine Nicholson on August 6, 1966 in Front Royal, VA.

Surviving with his wife, are his daughters, Sharon Shifflett and husband, Timmy;  Karen Ferrebee and husband, Gary; and step-daughter, Brenda Bate and husband, Andrew all of Winchester, VA; son, Calvin Sisk and wife, Holley of Stephens City, VA.  Mr. Sisk is also survived by seven grandchildren, including Danny McLendon, whom he raised; and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by stepson, David McLendon, Jr.; sister, Eloise Baker; and brother, Paul Sisk.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Open Door Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth H. Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be forwarded to Omps Funeral Home, 1600 Amherst Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601 to assist with his funeral arrangements.
