Brenda Kay Malone, age 67, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Winchester Medical Center.

Brenda was born in 1954 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Houston and Naomi Stokes.  She was a devoted stay at home mom, loving grandmother and sister.

Brenda married Charles Harold Malone, Jr. on August 2, 1973 in Warren County, Virginia.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Sandy Selby (Hunter), Ginger Carico (James), and Melissa Canfield (Jerry), all of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Charles David Malone (Crystal) of Stephens City, Virginia, and Brian Malone (Graham) of Winchester, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Curtis, Matthew, Timothy, Brittany, Lilly, Kayde, Chucky, Aaron, and Riley; brother, Clarence “Bunny” Stokes (Sue) of High View, West Virginia; and her canine companion, Lucy.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 20th at 10:00 am with a service beginning at 11:00 am, all at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.  Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles D. Malone, Brian Malone, James Carico, Jerry Canfield, Curtis Carico, Matthew Carico, Timothy Carico, Chucky Malone, and Aaron Malone.
