Bonnie Jean Morton (Voss), 85, of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Winchester Medical Center.

Bonnie was born in 1938 in Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Alvin Voss and Roxie (Lemons) Voss. She retired as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Bonnie was of the Southern Baptist faith and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen Harrison (Brenda), David Harrison (Cheryl); grandchildren, Emily Harrison Torrence, Katrina Harrison Wiser and Alex Harrison; 2 great-grandchildren, Finley and Cara; sisters, Darlene Hunnycutt, Nancy Bailey and brother, Jimmy Voss.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Peter Throck Morton.

Services for Bonnie will be private.

Sorry to hear this. Bonnie was a cousin of mine on the Voss side. We had good times down on Grandpa and Grandma Voss's home place. As time went by, we lost contact with each other. I kept up a little with her thru another cousin, Phyllis Voss. Condolences to your family.

We are so saddened to hear about Bonnie. She was a wonderful person and we are honored to have known & loved her. Family of Bonnie… We are so sorry to hear about Bonnie’s passing. We met Bonnie through Pete when he use to take his car into Jim Stutzman Chevrolet and Steve worked for them them then. Then Steve opened his own shop (SOS Repair) and Pete and Bonnie would bring their cars to him there and we used to go visit them from time to time. Bonnie was one of my residents at spring arbor of winchester she was the sweetest lady I enjoyed our morning talks her laugh was contagious, I would bring my pup in just for her to see she would ask every day how's the baby, she will be truly missed Bonnie impacted alot of us and will be remembered for her kindness and love

Pete and Bonnie came and visited are church the Wayside, when we had dinners and picnics we wood play guitars and sing they loved that. They gave me a guitar that I still play and think of them quite often especially when I play it. So we are very sorry for your loss and are prayers are with you and the family.

I knew Bonnie for over 40 years.. Bonnie spent many holidays with our family. We enjoyed having Bonnie and Pete in our home and sharing family memories with them. We will miss Bonnie. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Cindy and Nick Daversa
