Bonnie E. Sine, 75 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Bonnie was born in 1950 in Winchester, the daughter of the late Charles and Ava Cheshire. She attended James Wood High School. For a number of years, she worked at Acme Markets and retired from Frederick County Social Services. She loved to travel, shop, play BINGO and she loved Apple Blossom. Bonnie was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church where she liked helping with fundraisers and supporting her community. Most of all, Bonnie cherished every moment she spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie belonged to the Women of the Moose and Ladies Auxiliary FOP #824. She was past president of the Ki-Women and past Sr. Regent of WOTM. Bonnie was also, President of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Virginia State Horticulture Society and Co-Chair of the Ladies Horticulture Luncheon sponsored by the Women’s Auxiliary of the Virginia State Horticulture Society.
She is survived by her husband, G. Eugene Sine whom she married on June 21, 1985; children, Genae Russell, Tony Sine (Chrissy), Tammy Getts; grandchildren, Tanner Sine (Megan), Trae Sine (Jaiden Boyce); great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Edmiston, Kyn’Leigh Sine, Jessa Sine, and Tessa Sine.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Joe Cheshire.
A visitation will be held for Bonnie on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm with a service the following day, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private. Officiating will be Pastor C. Steve Melester with readings by Pastor Jack Lee. A reception will be held following the service at the Winchester Eagles Club.
