Bonnie Alice Adams, 66, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at her home.
Bonnie was born in 1952 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Melvin Combs and Opal Headley; stepdaughter of the late Gardner Headley. She attended James Wood High School. Bonnie was a sales associate with Belk Department Store and a member of Winchester Church of God. She was a strong, determined Christian woman who was very loving, caring and was always thinking of others. Bonnie enjoyed traveling and much appreciated the beauty of Greece, Turks and Caicos, and sights throughout the Caribbean. She also loved photography, gardening and the sheer pleasure of being outdoors. Above all else, Bonnie’s greatest passion was her family and her Yorkie, Gracie. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother that is missed.
Bonnie married Theodore “Ted” J. Adams on February 10, 1979 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband of 39 years are daughters, Bobbi Jo Hudson (Terry) of Stephens City, Virginia, Cassie Ruby (Bryan) of Ruther Glen, Virginia; son, Michael Kees of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Joshua Adams of Strasburg, Virginia, Lexi Frank of Richmond, Virginia, Jarrod and Jacob Adams of Winchester, Virginia, Caroline, Ashlee, Courtney, Julian, and Jada Hudson of Stephens City, Virginia, and Seth Ruby of Ruther Glen, Virginia; two great grandchildren; and sister, Esther Goode of Winchester, Virginia.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, a daughter, Ashlee Adams, a son, Joe Adams, and a brother, Lloyd Combs.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Winchester Church of God, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday at Winchester Church of God with Pastor Darrell Waller officiating. Entombment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s memory to Ted Adams for Cancer Research.
