Bobby “Jack” Brown Sr.
Bobby “Jack” Brown Sr., 80, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Mr. Brown was born in 1934, in Chuckey, Tennessee, the son of the late Jesse E. and Mollie M. Brown. He was employed with E.R. Neff Excavating, Inc. as an excavation worker and was proud to have been an employee for over 50 years. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends, taking care of his lawn and tinkering in his workshop.
Mr. Brown married Audrey Driver on May 28, 1960, in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Surviving with his wife is a son, Bobby “B. J.” Jack Brown, Jr.; daughter, Sandi Snider, and her husband Galen; a grandson Alec Snider, two sisters, Jean Griffith, and Jewell White, and her husband, Wayne; and a brother, Hartsell Brown, and his wife Doris.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by thirteen other loving brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm with his funeral service immediately thereafter, with Rev. John E. Lock officiating at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
