On May 30, 2016, Bobby Foster ran up the steps to heaven into the arms of his heavenly Father. He fought a tough battle and won at the end.
Bobby was born in White Post, Virginia on January 4, 1952 at his grandparents’ farm. He was the son of Dot Orndorff and the late Charlie Foster. He worked at Rubbermaid for twenty five years before retiring in 2000. He also drove for Valley Medical Transport for ten years. He was a loving husband and father who loved his sports, especially the Redskins. He coached girls’ softball, boys’ baseball and soccer. He was a devout Christian and loved his church family. He helped with Boy Scouts and taught young people at church.
He is survived by his wife Kathy and sons Michael, Josh, and Rusty Foster; sisters, Barbara Bowman and Kim Green; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Life Church, 199 Agape Way, Stephens City, VA 22655 with Pastor Dan Prock officiating. A reception to follow.
